The United States imported 555,037 cubic meters of Southern Yellow Pine lumber in 2020. That’s a 12 percent increase over the year prior.

The U.S. Harmonized Tariff Schedule classifies that following species as Southern Yellow Pine: Loblolly Pine (Pinus taeda), Longleaf Pine (Pinus palustris), Pitch Pine (Pinus rigida), Shortleaf Pine (Pinus echinata), Slash Pine (Pinus elliottii) and Virginia Pine (Pinus virginiana).
