The United States imported 24,636 cubic meters of tropical hardwood lumber in the first two months of 2020 (Source: USDA). This compares to 46,361m3 in the first two months of 2019. A drop of 46.8%.

Ipe is a major contributor to this drop. Imports of Ipe lumber products were down 61%.
