U.S. Lumber Looking Expensive

Earlier in the year, we pointed out that a strong lumber market could be expected for 2017. Additionally, we pointed out that the April spike in prices over $400/mbf was likely just the beginning of a sustained push over $400/mbf. Although lumber prices typically rise into years end, the current market, as of close yesterday, looks expensive and over-bought:
